Tina Chow was a New York-based fashion model and jewellery designer, married to restauranteur Michael Chow. Her look would have a profound influence on fashion styles of the time often considered the inventor of minimalist chic.
Born Bettina Louise Lutz, supermodel and jewellery designer was born in 1950 in Ohio, USA to Japanese and American-German parents. She moved to Japan in the 1960s and soon became known for her ability to fuse an Asian and American aesthetic.
Adel Rootstein included Tina Chow in her Virgo (1970) and Virgo 75 collections.
Tina Chow was initiated into the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1985. She died in 1992.
